To own a static holiday caravan you will investing between £5000.00 and £50,000.00, possibly more dependent on your chosen caravans specification, do you really want to find your caravan badly damaged and then not receive any help and in truth a total disinterest from both the site staff and Park Holidays UK head office?

Still cannot get a reply from Ian Smith the operations manager at head office or the holiday park, left with no choice but to go to court to get the deposits back for the gate keys, gas bottles and the unused part of the years site fees paid at Harts Holiday Park.

Are you looking to buy a caravan or chalet at Harts Holiday Park, Leysdown on Sea, Isle of Sheppey, Kent

You may wish to read of our experience before parting with your hard earned money.

We first purchased a chalet on Harts 5 years ago, then last year (2008) we purchased a static holiday caravan (B23), we were very happy with our purchase a caravan we really liked and a pitch that i think it's fair to say not many people would want but it suited us perfectly and it was our choice out of the available pitches.

Pitch B23, faces the road that leads to the rear doors to the clubhouse with no caravans to the left or right apart from the occasional for sale caravan to the left, behind is just one caravan B20.

This year 2009 the season starts as normal with odd couple of days spent at the caravan, looking forward to a weeks holiday in June.

June comes and a welcome weeks holiday or so we thought, 16th June go around the back of the caravan the side facing caravan B20 to check the gas and find over 200 (stopped counting at 200) dents from a ball, this side of the caravan had by the looks of things been used like a house wall to hit a ball against.

Reported the damage to the office and was basically told they were not interested as they had no proof who did this and had no intention of even trying to find out, (remember our location, just one caravan B20 near ours) so confirmed the details in an email and sent this to the site office.

   
We stayed at the caravan for another day and a half and in this time not one person could even be bothered to view the damage, remember our location next to the road at the rear of the club, come out of the site office, through the club and ours is the very first caravan, maybe all of 150 yards.

Did try contacting the email address for customer care at head office, the email bounced it does not work! Some customer care.

No telephone number for head office on the website!

Before leaving on the 17th June went to the site office again to ask for head office phone number, the manager gave out the phone number without question, now have you ever known a manger of anything not just at Park Holidays UK to give out a head office phone number without asking what the problem is, No. well you do now.

Telephoned Park Holidays UK head office and was told complaints were only taken in writing or by email, fair enough email Mr Ian Smith the Operations Manager, not even an acknowledgement of any kind let alone an offer to look into this.

Make your own mind up is ignoring reports of damage a local problem limited to just Harts Holiday Park, Leysdown or is this company policy?

Personally i have a feeling this is Parks Holidays UK, company policy as why else would the manager not care about us contacting head office, other than knowing any communication would be ignored.

Us, we were saving to buy a new ABI caravan for next season, instead we are now clearing our personal belongings from the caravan at Harts and using our savings to buy another caravan on a family owned site on the Isle of Sheppey.

Although this is about Harts Holiday Park at Leysdown on Sea on the Isle of Sheppey, Park Holidays UK do of course own many Caravan holiday parks for used, pre-owned and new static caravans including Atlas, ABI, BK, Carnaby, Delta and Willerby.

Our own problems with the damage to our caravan and neither the site manager or the operations manager at head office could be bothered to view the damage or even contact us, leads me to believe the problems we encountered could possibly be Park Holidays UK company policy of ignoring complaints and may well apply across all these holiday parks owned by Park Holidays UK.

New and used static holiday caravans at Park Holidays UK Atlas, ABI, BK, Carnaby, Delta and Willerby holiday homes, ask yourself would you really want to own a holiday caravan home knowing it could be ruined while you are away and both the site mamagement at Harts Holiday Park and the head office of Park Holidays UK totally ignore this, trouble if you buy a caravan or chalet with a credit card, cash, hire purchase or loan for the holiday seasons months.

Then they apply the logic of a mad house by telling you, that it's you who will have to move pitches (at a cost of around £1,000), and not the people who created the damage.




























Isle of Sheppey in Kent, its for holidays on the site and camp sites for the chalet and caravan owner only static mobile homes and chalets at home. They have caravans that they sell and for sale selling to allow you to own your own caravan owning is the same as ownership many sizes of caravans are available 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 foot or feet long, fairly wide with many width with several berth sizes with bedrooms and berths. The price and cost with annual site fee per season or year with prices, costs and fees to allow you to hire out to holiday makers when hiring charge a rent when renting, Harts Holiday Park has a playground for children or kids a club and clubhouse with swimming at harts holiday park live entertainment venue with leisure facilities including indoor pool, paddling pool, spa bath and sauna although a problem with wood or wooden, timber or plastic but not metal Caravan Steps and Verandas or storage boxes shed or box but no under caravan storage allowed.
