To own a static holiday caravan you will investing between £5000.00 and £50,000.00, possibly more dependent on your
chosen caravans specification, do you really want to find your caravan badly damaged and then not receive any help
and in truth a total disinterest from both the site staff and Park Holidays UK head office?
Still cannot get a reply from Ian Smith the operations manager at
head office or the holiday park, left with no choice but to go to court to get the deposits
back for the gate keys, gas bottles and the unused part of the years site fees paid at Harts
Holiday Park.

Harts Holiday Park :
When we first purchased our chalet Harts was i think it's fair to say Harts was the most expensive site on Sheppey but
on the other hand one of the best if not the best kept holiday park for chalets and caravan on the Isle of Sheppey,
every day weather permitting grass cutting could be heard taking place somewhere on the site, not anymore.
Before reading on remember you are paying over £2000.00 a year site rent.
I always kept the grass around our plot cut so it did not really affect us but letters started arriving and still are
arriving stating if the grass is not kept cut the grounds staff would do this and you would be charged for this.
Always were rubbish bins around the site, not any longer the day prior to collection they are collected up and in most
cases not returned until the day after collection has taken place, would you really want to store food waste and rubbish
in your caravan or chalet for two days.
For 2009 did you notice the signs around Harts stating no site fee increase for 2010, true yes, but was you told
from this season 2009 you now have to pay £10.00 each time your electric meter is read.
Gas prices, i think we all accept buying gas on site will be a little more expensive as it is delivered to your caravan or
chalet, but, the last time we bought gas coming into Leysdown it was being sold at under £22.00 while on Harts at around £32.00
and lets not forget the £5.00 charge if you want the grounds staff to connect the gas bottle.
On Harts it really is a case of an in crowd and out crowd, this was bought home to us when we had our chalet which had
3 foot of paving around the front, i asked the manager if it would be alright if i put a picket fence around the paving while
we was on site and take it down when not, the answer a resounding no as she said the directors would not like this, yet a couple
of chalets along had done exactly this and taking a walk around the site some owners had gone far further than just a
fence extending the length of the chalet as well with fencing and trellis.

No balls on the site apart from on the playing field a good rule, if it applied to everyone.
No bikes after dark, forget it, bikes and the noisy electric powered bikes are about at all times.
Many other instances of what some can do and nothing said.
Why? lets just say if you are going to use the club, not for a nice social drink but to get legless you can
do more or less do what you like and nothing will be said, if you don't use the club or just like a nice social drink with
family and friends forget it, it's all about the money.
The law changed and now states only metal storage boxes or sheds can be next to caravans,
not if p*ss the day and night away in the club, just check caravan B20 (yes the same one),
is it wood or is it metal? surprise, surprise it's wood.
On Harts windbreaks should be taken down when not staying on site, but the caravan behind our B20 never did meaning we could
not get to our gas bottles, with empty beer cans and rubbish being thrown under our caravan, why was nothing said, well
if i say she used to stand out the back of the club from opening to closing time shouting at her kids at her caravan
F---ing this and F---ing that i think you get the idea.
Then B20 coming back from the club very much the worse for wear at 01.30 ish and then her kids playing football until
around 03.00.
Please don't take this as all the owners on Harts are drunken louts, not at all, the vast majority are a really good crowd,
and it's nice to hear people leaving the club a bit merry having had a good evening out, although a big difference between
being merry and behaving in a completely anti social manner.
But you do not know who will be next door to you and if you have any problems you do know from our experience you will not
receive any help or support from the management at Harts Holiday Park or from Park Holidays UK head office.
